My First Book About Hajj is the fifth and final book in this very popular series. The series came about when the author Sara Khan became a proud mother of a little girl called Raya. She aimed to build upon her academic background and personal experience to help fill the gap when it comes to presenting Islam to toddlers and young children in an age-appropriate way. This book will wrap up the basics of Islam having covered the five pillars of Islam. It will follow the same format of a simple board book filled with stunning illustrations, full of colour, bringing the pages to life with 1 or 2 easy to understand lines explaining what Hajj - the pilgrimage for Muslims, is and the rituals and traditions associated with it as well as why it is done. As always, there is a short Q&A at the back covering common questions children may ask as well as an Index. This is a children's bestseller for us, a print run of 10,000, with the plan of having all the books available as a special edition set in a slip cover. Sara Khan, is fluent in German, Arabic and Urdu - we will also look to do translations of these books.
A unique product for this age group. Other books have been produced that introduce Hajj for slightly older children but this book offers young children basic teachings of the Islamic duty and subsequent holiday celebrating the completion of it. Has the potential to be a 'must-have' book for all Muslim parents. Part of a recognised title series. A Kube Publishing bestseller. It is illustrated in a way that is common to many Christian children's books (the illustrator worked on a Bible book for children in the UK) and will not feel out of place in a mainstream bookshop. This book will be significantly cheaper than the alternatives for slightly older children and is priced to sell in volume.
