It all started when I turned 40 when I decided that my past needed to stay in my past. I put pen to paper and started to write poems after a friend had told me "write down your feelings in a poem." I had never written poems in my life, but that is just what I did and from that day on, in fact, I could not stop. I would get a thought in my head, along would come to the feelings, and the words would just flow. Some of the poems are depressing because sometimes that was how I was feeling at the time. I am not that sad person anymore as with time I have been able to let go of the past, gradually changing and becoming stronger, I am a happy person who is now content with her life. I have everything that I could ever want, a wonderful husband and two lovely boys, a network of friends and handful of family members whom I love dearly.
