'Edwin's Story' resolves the mystery of what happened to Edwin Drood after he mysteriously disappears on the night of Christmas Eve, after going to witness the effects of a great storm on the river, accompanied by his rival in love, Neville Landless, who harbours very strong feelings for Edwin's betrothed, the beautiful and youthful Rosa Bud.
