Jonathan Kathrein graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in American Studies. He has worked in the United States Senate, commercial real estate in Hawaii, a San Francisco law firm, and as a spokesman for an environmental non-profit organization.After surviving a Great White Shark attack at the age of sixteen, he has been featured in Sports Illustrated magazine, Surfer magazine, People of the Year '98 (ZDF Germany), and Dateline NBC. He has guest lectured on the subject of sharks at the University of California and uses his experience to educate people. He is currently the Executive Director of Future Leaders For Peace, a San Francisco Bay Area non-profit organization.
