Over the course of a year, Jessica Kane documented her everyday moments. She wrote down the conversations she had with her crazed but brilliant mother, and with her loving but major-slob-of-a-husband. She wrote down the things that happened on errands, on the street, at work, and while driving. She wrote about all the irritating, ridiculous dramas that came and went. Sometimes she wrote about her past or she wrote about the voices she heard in her head, or the neurotic thoughts that kept her up at night, or the words of wisdom she heard from her heart. From an aerial view, it might not appear like much is happening in these moments, but Ms. Kane reminds us that really, inside every moment, underneath its obviousness, there exists a little gem waiting to be noticed.
