The fact that God makes His presence known in all levels of Christian denominations does not mean that He makes His presence known in all the same degree or in the same way. In the life of an individual, progress is possible only to whom God's fuller revelation has come to share in a larger insight. There is therefore nothing out of keeping with what we know of God's method of revealing himself in the Christian conviction that through Jesus, God has given man His supreme revelation of love and forgiveness. Only then would this conviction not be proven true if any generation of Christians were to identify its partial understanding of God's revelation in response to forgiveness with the whole and were to close their eyes to the new and higher truth that is ready and willing to impart. In the Bible, revelation and forgiveness was given to leaders, kings, queens, prophets, priests, teachers, and even the unthinkable characters that were not upright before God. It has also been given to you and I who have received the fullness of His grace. References by William Adams Brown, (God At Work, Charles Scribner's Sons Publishing Company, New York, London, 1933).
