THE CONFESSION is a story of two families, one a refugee family who flee the destruction of their home only to end up spending years in detention on an isolated island. Their hope for resettlement in a new country and a prosperous life fade away as the years pass by. Their young son with the odds stacked against him refuses to let his circumstances destroy him. Another boy in a broken family, in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne loses all direction as he comes under the influence of drugs and anti-immigration groups. The two come together which rekindles painful memories. One will lose everything he cherishes, the other some justice.
