FRANK RICH JOHNSON is a life-long resident of Windham, NH. Born in 1934, Frank grew up on Highland View Farm, a working farm purchased by his grandfather George Washington Johnson in 1884. The farm has always been a gathering place for neighbors and farmhands who worked hard, ate heartily, and shared stories of times past. An octogenarian, Frank is an authority and firsthand witness of Windham past and present. Inheriting the art of storytelling from his father, he has delighted readers for decades by writing his column entitled Looking Back for the town's newspapers, Windham Life and the Windham Independent. Frank is a product of the Windham school system, graduate of Pinkerton Academy, 1956-G Airforce Cadet, and University of New Hampshire alumni. He is a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, Windham, New Hampshire and New England Historical Societies, and board member of the Rich Family Association where he served as vice president for many years. When not helping with the chores and visiting with his animal friends at the farm now run by his son Scott Johnson, Frank enjoys fishing on both Cobbett's Pond and Canobie Lake as well spending time with Mary his wife of 60 years, three children and four grandchildren.
