Curtis Jobling is probably best known as the designer of Bob the Builder, Raa Raa the Noisy Lion and Frankenstein's Cat. He is also the mastermind behind the Wereworld novels and a brilliant series with Simon & Schuster, Shadow of the Hawk. Old Macdonald Had a Zoo was his first title with Egmont. Tom McLaughlin spent nine years as the political cartoonist at The Western Morning News before leaving the paper to become a freelance illustrator. Since then he has designed and created a number of animated TV concepts and written and illustrated several picture books, including The Diabolical Mr Tiddles (Simon & Schuster) and Captain Buckleboots on the Naughty Step (Puffin).
