Pastor Timothy Jackson, Jr. is the proud husband of Ashiqua Jackson, father of three beautiful children, Ava MaeRee, and twins, Timothy III and Avery Juliette. He serves as the Senior Pastor of Hope Fellowship Church in Memphis, Tennessee. Pastor Jackson is a 1995 graduate of Whitehaven High School. He went on to attend the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with an emphasis in Biology and became a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. For the fraternity, he served as Kappa League Chairman and later served as President of the chapter. Pastor Jackson culminated his undergraduate college career by being voted the first and only African-American Mr. University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
In 2012, he graduated with a Master of Christian Studies degree from Union University. Three weeks after his graduation, he entered the Doctor of Ministry program at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio and graduated May 2015. Jackson accepted his call to ministry September 4, 2000. Over the years, he has appeared on television, magazines, and radio along with opportunities to speak at many churches and conferences. In the early 2000s, Pastor Jackson authored an online devotional ministry entitled Talk to Me God that blessed the lives of thousands of people around the globe, including Australia, France and Hong Kong. Entries from the devotional ministry were published in Malaysia and the United Kingdom. Considered to be gifted with the ability to craft sermon illustrations, pastors from around the country seek him for sermon illustrations and advice in producing them. Several sermon illustrations have been published on the website of The African American Lectionary, providing opportunity for ministers and pastors throughout the world to tap into his gift.
In addition to ministry, Pastor Jackson works as a Senior Environmental Specialist at FedEx Express Corporation, where he serves as a liaison between FedEx and environmental agencies, training employees and monitoring environmental compliance for more than 100 FedEx Express facilities throughout the United States. Because of his wide range of pastoral and corporate experiences, he has been sought after to provide leadership advice in both corporate and church arenas. He is particularly passionate about new leaders, young ministers, and new pastors. Pastor Jackson equips them with knowledge when entering a new leadership role, and helps them avoid many of the pitfalls encountered by new leaders. Pastor Jackson is committed to playing an instrumental role in the building of people so that they may build up their families, communities, organizations, and churches. He strives to promote excellence spiritually, socially, and academically to people of all ages. It is his prayer that God will use him to impact the lives of people in the church, city, and nation.
