This book documents the work of sculptor, Kathryn Capley. From 1993-2013 Kathryn E. Jackson, the author of this book, made sculpture under the pseudonym, Kathryn Capley. Tendonitis ended her career as a sculptor. For twenty years Kathryn made hand-rendered works in metal from small to large scale, including life-sized horses. Her work emphasized gesture and motion. The animals she portrayed appear captured in a moment as if moving from one point to another. The expression and life embodied in her work appealed to a wide audience.
Her sculpture is found in many private and public collections. She has work in almost every state in the US, Canada, England, and Saudi Arabia. The images in this book are a portion of the scores of works she created.
