Ekpe is a Chevening scholar and an award-winning writer with several scientific articles and textbooks to his credit in areas such as environmental science, environmental education, research methodology, socio-cultural forestry, and drama. He has distinguished himself as an accomplished playwright and poet, with eight published plays: Professor Adoniah, Beware, The Sacred Forest, Water na Life, The Game, The Swamps, The Hill Barbers, and The Last Hope. His published poetry collections include Silent Voices, Death of Hardship, Eni and Other Poems, Dangerous Pastime, Just a Bend, and most recently, Tastes of Nature.As an educationist and environmentalist, Ekpe has made invaluable contributions to these fields, and has worked in different capacities with international organisations and institutions such as the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), and the Pan African Institute for Development - West Africa (PAID-WA). He is currently the Capacity Building Advisor and Education for Sustainable Development and Youth Empowerment Focal Point for WWF Cameroon. Ekpe Inyang hails from the Korob (Korup) ethnic group in Ndian Division of the South West Region of Cameroon. He holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom.
