Author Gail Ingis enjoys writing, painting, and piano among other creative arts. Before beginning her career as a romance writer, she worked as a professional interior designer, architectural consultant, educator, and professional artist. She is a member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers). Her degrees include a BFA from the New York School of Interior Design and Master's studies in Architecture and Design Criticism at the New School. She founded the Interior Design Institute (IDI) in 1981 and later merged the school with Berkeley College. Besides her design work, she taught watercolor and oil painting, interior design, and the history of architecture and design at IDI and several universities in the tri-state area. Tennis is an integral part of her life. She is a retired certified instructor with membership in the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA).
She adores her children, twelve grandchildren, and two granddaughters-in-law.
