The Paranormal Investigators League, Duncan, Paige, Nelson and Duane, move to Southern California for their third adventure. In a 1920's home on the Sunset Strip the Flanagan family has been sleeping huddled together in their family room since the floating image of a woman in a flapper dress told them to get out of their house. Her rather forceful warnings have been accompanied by poundings and rattlings and the random movement of pieces of furniture. The investigators find more than they bargained for as the case leads them to the supposed suicide of a Hollywood actress of silent movie days, rumors of witchcraft, a hidden room with bizarre ritualistic items, and the appearance of a second spirit. The ghosts, it turns out, are fighting with each other, and the investigators, interfering, find themselves in more danger than they are accustomed to. They can still achieve their happy ending, but not without a fight.
