Perkin Warbeck
Perkin Warbeck was the son of a poor family in Flanders, France. What made him think he could ever manage to convince anyone that he was the rightful king of England? Young Perkin longed for greatness. By a series of remarkable twists of fate he gained favour with the French Royal family who were trying to work out a way to gain control of England. They trained him to act like an English Prince and sent him across the Channel with a small band of soldiers to seize power. Was Perkin destined to be another William the Conqueror? Or was he doomed to a premature and painful death?.
