Cheri Huber, author of 24 books, has been a student and teacher of Zen for over 35 years. In 1983, she founded the Mountain View Zen Center, and in 1987, the Zen Monastery Peace Center in Murphys, CA. She conducts workshops and retreats at the Zen Monastery Peace Center and other venues. For 12 years she has had a weekly, Internet based call-in radio show, Open Air, which is open to anyone interested in Zen awareness practice. Ashwini Narayanan co-facilitates and creates workshops with Cheri Huber and runs the operations of the two non-profits that Cheri founded. Before dedicating her life to the Zen practice she fell in love with, Ashwini ran a pioneering social enterprise that raised investments for the micro-finance industry that was funded by eBay. Her eclectic background includes degrees in physics, business and computer science; work experience at an advertising agency, an investment bank, a social enterprise and several technology startups in the Silicon Valley; and a passion for Eastern religion, history, literature and dancing.
