Angang Hu is the Professor of the School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University, and the Dean of the Institute for Contemporary China Studies, Tsinghua University. Hu received his Ph.D. (1988) at China Academy of Science and conducted Postdoctoral research (1991-1992) at Yale University. He received the Honorable Doctorate at the Russia Academy of Science's Institute of Far East Studies in 2004. Professor Hu is one of the leading experts in China Studies. His research and teaching interest is China Study, macro-economics, economic and social development strategy, theory and practice of Chinese Development. He has published widely in these areas.
With his achievements in his research work, he was awarded the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Awards of the China Academy of Science(twice), Sun Yefang Economic Papers Prize (2000) and Fudan Premium Fund of Management (2008). He is also a member of the Advisory Committee for the Twelfth and Thirteenth Five-Year Plans under NDRC, an Advisory member of the National Disaster Mitigation Committee and a member of the Advisory Committee under Ministry of Agriculture. He was elected as the representative of the 18th CCP National Congress in 2012. Shaojie Zhou is a Professor of School of Public Policy and Management at Tsinghua University (TUSPPM), the Deputy Dean of the Institute for Contemporary China Studies at Tsinghua University and the Director of the Center for Employment and Social Security of TUSPPM. He received his Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Tsinghua University in 1999, Master's degree in Management Science from Tsinghua University in 2002, and PhD in Economics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2007. He has published more than 70 papers in Chinese and English, co-authored five books in Chinese and two book in English, and has undertaken many research projects including the National Social Science Major Project. His main research areas include development studies and policies, Chinese economy, and international development and governance. Yize Xie is an Associate Professor at the School of Marxism, Fudan University.
He obtained a Ph.D. degree in public administration from the Tsinghua University, China. He was a visiting scholar at Nagoya University in Japan during 2019-2020. His current research focuses on the political economy with Chinese characteristics.
