Travis Lane lives by a simple creed: "these things we do, that others may live." It's a creed sealed in blood. A pact he's kept through multiple combat deployments and countless firefights. With his nephew is running out of time, Lane is forced to call in a favor. He calls Taran Carter, the current CEO of Broadside Solutions, a private military company that provides high-risk rescue "policies" and tracking for their uber-rich clients.

Taran Carter knows what Lane is capable of and wastes no time adding him to his stable of "operators." Before Lane has a chance to settle in, one of the trackers goes live in the Democratic Republic of Congo. An hour later, Lane and his team are airborne and on their way to Africa. In flight the team learns that the tracker is tied to Alexander Sterling, a mining magnate from West Texas. They fly deep into the hinterlands of the jungle, where Lane and the mysterious client are left behind, leaving Lane to navigate a dangerous jungle in order to keep his client safe. If they want to survive, they'll have to learn to work together.
