O'Gorman, student and partner of Diego Rivera, painted Credit Transforms Mexico for the Banco Internacional's headquarters between 1964 and 1965. Today, this private mural has been restored in the new HSBC building and this book means its renewed exhibition to the grand public brush stroke by brush stroke. In it, the artist depicts the process by which the land is worked and manipulated until it brings a benefit for mankind, but it also incorporates certain ironic elements that contradict and undermine the dream in which technology with its transformation of nature into highways and factories brings a promising future. This book contains a 182 x 27 cm poster with the reproduction of the complete mural and close-ups of the most important details so the reader can follow up the description and analysis of the concepts behind this complex work of art for greater aesthetic pleasure and understanding.Text in English and Spanish.
