Dr. Carol Holtz is beginning her thirtieth year of teaching at Kennesaw State University (greater Atlanta, Georgia). She is a Professor of Nursing at the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services, School of Nursing and teaches Parent-Child Nursing, Community Nursing, Gerontological Nursing, International Health, and the Nursing Practicum in Oaxaca, Mexico. She is also teaching courses addressing vulnerable populations' health and healthcare within the Doctor of Nursing Science Degree Program. Dr. Holtz works with students in the clinical sites of Grady Memorial Hospital and the Cobb County Health Department. Dr. Holtz serves as the elected Vice Chair of the Cobb County Board of Health and Cobb Community Services Board.
She is past president of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, Epsilon Alpha Chapter of Georgia State University and current Board Member of the Mu Phi Chapter of Kennesaw State University. She is also a member of Phi Beta Delta, Honor Society for International Scholars, and an elected member of the Scholars Organization of the International Transcultural Nursing Society. She has been a guest lecturer at the Traditional Chinese Medical University in Nanjing, China, at the Medical University at Yangzhou, China, and Xinjiang Medical University in Urumqi, China, at the School of Nursing at Baguio, Philippines, and at Helwan University in Cairo, Egypt.
