Introduction Paul was the most striking and influential Christian in the new church. Paul was called by God to be an apostle. He travelled widely in the known world planting churches and encouraging all Christians. He preached in the power of the Spirit and healed miraculously. He had a rich and close walk with God which was reflected in his teachings and letters to the churches. Paul wrote thirteen letters of the New Testament that are full of his rich faith and theology. In addition, most of the Book of Acts is about Paul's life. He never forgot where he came from as a Pharisee and persecutor of the church.
Paul was a zealous and dedicated man who was transformed completely by the gospel of Christ and his visionary calling from Christ. He was a man who suffered much, but also had rich experiences of God that drove him forward in his calling from God. The objective of this book is to provide a comprehensive study in one volume of every aspect of the life of Apostle Paul, as presented in the Bible, while being easy to read for all Christians, uncluttered with theological terms. This book is a thorough study on the life of Apostle Paul. This book is divided into five sections. The first section describes Paul's life as detailed in the New Testament. The second section looks at Paul's own description of his life. Eighteen verses from Paul's own letters have been selected where he talks about himself.
There is a short compilation describing the verses. The third section looks at Paul and the power of God. It draws together all of Paul's words on the power of God and crystallizes his teachings and experiences of God's power in his life and ministry. The fourth section looks at the message of Paul letters. A representative picture of Paul's faith and teachings has been built up, by taking just two key verses from each of his letters. The fifth section looks at the teachings of Paul. It presents a comprehensive understanding of Paul's faith by drawing on the truths from all of his letters. The life of Paul is an inspiration to all Christians.
This book places everything in chronological order, so that across the breadth of the early church and his letters, everything may be seen as it happened. Paul was a great man of God, a man of faith and a man of the Spirit. He was an apostle which gave him the premier authority and teaching in the church. If any criticise Paul's teaching or unfaithfully represent it, they are doing so to God himself. Paul was entrusted by God with a very important ministry not only to the church in the first century, but as we know, also to the church through history to the present day, through his letters and by the Holy Spirit. Paul suffered greatly, sharing the sufferings of Christ, and he had an extremely powerful ministry throughout his life, preaching Christ and the kingdom, and exercising healings and miracles in the power of the Holy Spirit, while nurturing all the churches that he had established. Any study of Paul's life can only inspire us to seek Christ and the Holy Spirit.
