Julius Narducci is a lonely middle aged Italian bread truck driver who's about to find love against all conceivable odds. Why? Because he has started a new delivery route which includes the "black section" of North Omaha. Along the way he encounters a beautiful thirty five year old African American woman. Set in the racially charged civil rights era of the 1960's, these turbulent times weave a story of love, passion and character evaluation.
