So, you're going to jail! I spent a year in jail from September 2016 to September 2017 in North Louisiana and was transferred to three different jails five separate times. This was my first, and hopefully only, time in jail. While there, I chronicled the various crazy, silly, stupid, ignorant, funny, frightening, enlightening, depressing, and amusing things that happened to me and around me. I started by sending these letters home for my friends and family to read but after a while I felt it was best to continue on as though it was meant for a more general audience.thus this compilation as a book was born. Nothing is sugar-coated. The language is vile. The racism (perceived or imagined) is real.
You might be offended, but you will definitely learn what to expect in jail from a perspective not often documented, and not just from the view of what happens around an individual but what happens within as well.
