Dick Tibbits, DMin has a doctoral degree in psychotherapy from Andover-Newton in Boston. Dick is an ordained minister, a licensed professional mental health counselor, a clinical pastoral educator, and a hospital administrator. As a hospital administrator, he has been a VP for Operations, a VP for Human Resources, as well as a COO and CEO. Currently Dick is an executive coach for hospital administrators and a performance coach to some of the world's premier motorsports racers.During his career, Dick pastored in New England, then became an educator and hospital administrator at Kettering Medical Center, Florida Hospital (now AdventHealth) Orlando, Loma Linda University Medical Center, and Florida Hospital (now AdventHealth) Tampa. Dick has conducted original research on forgiveness and heart disease, which he presented at the National Institutes of Health, Harvard University, the Mayo Clinic, Duke University, Loma Linda University, and Stanford University. He was a featured speaker at the International Conference on Stress and is the author of Forgive to Live: How Forgiveness Can Save Your Life, currently printed in eight languages. His latest work on the Stress Recovery Effect is written out of his wealth of experience working with those who must perform in extreme stress situations.
