Alex Treadway has worked around the world as a travel photographer for fifteen years, four of which he lived and worked in Kathmandu. As well as working for environmental and humanitarian NGO's in Nepal, his work has been published multiple times in National Geographic and Geo Special , along with many other publications. Dave Costello is an award-winning writer, editor, photographer and filmmaker. He is the author of Flying off Everest , a former senior editor at Alaska magazine, and has also been published in Outside , National Geographic , Backpacker , Rock & Ice , Climbing and more. Billi Bierling is a renowned mountaineer with special experience in high-altitude climbing. Based in Germany, Switzerland and the Himalayas, Billi has led treks in Europe, Nepal, northern India and Tanzania. She writes regularly for German and English-speaking publications, such as The Nepali Times , Alpin and Münchner Merkur . Damian Hall is an outdoor journalist and ultramarathon-runner who has completed many of the world's famous and not-so-famous long-distance walks, including the Everest Base Camp trek for his honeymoon.
His most memorable trek, however, was when a possum stole his walking boot on the Six Foot Track in Australia's Blue Mountains.
