Barbara Guggenheim is one of America's best-known art advisors, with offices in New York and Beverly Hills. She holds a doctorate in Art History from Columbia University, has taught on the college level, worked at Sotheby's, headed two departments at Christie's, and lectured for years at the Whitney Museum. Ms. Guggenheim has written commentaries on the art world for many journals, including The New York Observer and the Robb Report. She lectures widely on collecting art and the art market and has been the subject of numerous magazine articles, including profiles in Vanity Fair and Forbes. Guggenheim also writes humorous short stories which have appeared in such magazines as W, Elle, and Harper's Bazaar. She's published five books, including Art World: The New Rules Of The Game, Little-Known Facts About Well-Known People, and Decorating on eBay: Fast & Stylish on a Budget.Guggenheim lives in Malibu.
