Thou Preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies-Psalm 23:5 - Many churches have a small percentage of irreverent leadership, often referred to as cliques. They consider themselves to be in ministry, but they are often in competition with each other. All are named Christian but barely reflect it. Sister Christian appears humble and kind, but she has a caustic mouth and attitude. Brother Christian in his conceit, believes it is charisma. He often abuses his wife, Mrs. Christian, both verbally and physically, and uses scripture to manipulate her and his interactions with others. After another confrontation with Mrs.

Christian, he quotes Psalm 23:5 to imply that the Lord is His Shepard only, and prepares a table for him before his enemies, which includes his wife. When he calms down, he decides to take a nap and begins to ponder what the presence really means. Just before dozing off, Brother Christian hazily envisions the Shepherd standing in front of him. Now, deep in a dream state he is greatly troubled. He is in Psalms 23 and dares to enter "the presence" where his enemies stand, those who cannot be seated at the Table. Brother Christian winds up in a hellish Maze and is completely traumatized! Who or What did he discover while "in the presence?".
