Zane Grey covers classic Western novel territory figuratively and literally in the Lone Star Ranger. It is a tale of law enforcement in a corrupt frontier town in Texas and the romances that develop in the shadow of those challenging times. However, as in all of Grey's work, the characters have far more depth than expected.
