Jason A. Grant was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. He has been writing poetry since he was 15 years old, and has been performing his poetry in front of audiences at "open mic" events for nearly five years. He is an editor of SpitFire! Magazine, an online magazine dedicated to the literary and visual arts. In 2002, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University, where he majored in Psychology with a Minor in African American Studies. Thereafter, he received a Juris Doctorate degree from Howard University School of Law in 2005. He is currently a practicing attorney in the Washington, DC metro area.
