The Guide for a Single Woman is the first of its kind. Not a sequel, not a prequel, but an equal. Its counterpart is The Guide for a Single Man. These aren't guides per se, but rather two comedic novels. They can be read in either order or completely by themselves in order to learn the full story of two women and two men, and one night in New York City. The Guide for a Single Woman tells the story of Cheryl and Erin, two thirtysomething women drinking and flirting their way through Hell's Kitchen, New York one Friday night. Along the way they find themselves hit on by countless men--some great, some terrible--while learning such lessons as: the only pick-up line that truly matters, what "The One" actually looks like, what men actually want, and why everything in the world of love and sex seems to happen for a reason.
