Carolyn Gibson was born in 1951 in Dallas Texas. She and her husband Gerald own and operate Dogwood Gardens Organic Farm where their primary crop is certified organic Wheatgrass. Gerald and Carolyn Gibson started Dogwood Gardens Organic Farm in 1991. They started out growing medical herbs and eventually focused on wheatgrass. Gerald's passion is wheatgrass. Carolyn's passion remains herbs. She is also a Registered Massage Therapist. Carolyn first married in September 1967.
Her husband Garry was drafted in January 1968, he was sent to Vietnam in July, received injuries in November 1, was then flew to Brooks General Hospital at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio Texas the week of Thanksgiving. There he spent 17 months in and out of the hospital until he received a medical discharge. Carolyn learned how to love through hard times and depend on God at the very beginning of her marriage. She also gave birth to a son in 1969 during this time. If this was a Hollywood movie you would think they then lived happily ever after. Not so. Garry was killed in a construction accident when their son was 7 years old. The Lord immediately blessed her with a new love in her life, her present husband Gerald.
Husband 1 and 2 were both wonderful men, but as different as night and day. Learning to be a good wife for Garry was entirely different than being a good wife for Gerald. She did learn principles that will apply to all good men and the Lord is faithful through all circumstances.
