Proven improvement, continuous quality improvement (CQI) through the "Advancement via independent determination (AVID) program could be the beginning of creating a "Gold standard of education" for all children. In order to achieve a gold standard in the education of our nations' children leadership has to be willing to go against the status quo, and build bridges for long term sustainable change. The research question is whether or not there is a statistically significant difference in the ACT mathematical scores between AVID elective 11th graders and non-AVID 11th graders. This book presents the paper that explored whether or not an implemented change program successfully improved student's academic achievements in the Public school system.
