BernhardGanter is a retired full professor of mathematics at TU Dresden, Germany. He isco-author of the standard Monography on Formal Concept Analysis, an appliedmathematical theory based on ordered sets and lattices. He is author and editorof several other research and text books. SergeiObiedkov is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science and AcademicDirector of Postgraduate Studies in Computer Science at National ResearchUniversity Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Russia. He has a degree intheoretical and applied linguistics and a PhD in theoretical computer science.After completing his PhD, Sergei worked as a postdoctoral researcher at theDresden University of Technology; in Paris (where he held the Diderotfellowship from Maison des Sciences de l'Homme); and at the University ofPretoria. He has industrial experience as a programmer and translator. Hisresearch interests include artificial intelligence, formal concept analysis,knowledge representation, data analysis, logic, algorithms, and applications.
