Told from the viewpoint of Ruth Griszam (a reporter for a voyeuristic galactic civilization), the third book in the Messiah Game trilogy revolves around the destructive religious/personality cult of con man Arn Parek. He has come to believe in his own divinity and uses his followers' devotion to prey upon the rest of society. This final volume traces the apocalyptic ending of Parek's military adventures.
