In this follow-up to his 2015 release, Studio Anywhere, Nick Fancher continues to teach how to produce pro-level images while working in unconventional environments using minimal gear. While the heart and soul of this sequel are the same as its predecessor, this book takes a more focused approach by sticking to using only hard light. Fancher demonstrates how to use harsh, unflattering light- be it found or manufactured- in creative and flattering ways, working with everything from products to people. Once again he includes behind-the-scenes photos, lighting diagrams and Lightroom screen-caps for every scenario, as well as a number of Pro Tips. A new feature in this book is a section called Making a Scene, wherein the viewer is presented with an image of an empty scene and are asked where they might place their subject and lights to get a specific effect. At the end of the book Fancher shows how he chose to tackle the scenario, the goal being to train the reader to see potential in the everyday, commonplace scenarios that surround them.
