The competition is organized by the Society for Goldsmiths' Art in collaboration with the City of Hanau, which invited internationally renowned silversmiths and metal designers as well as emergent up-and-coming artists to participate in the competition. The diverse repertoire of silver everyday implements; such as tea-, water- and coffee pots, bowls, cutlery, candlesticks and jars, as well as abstract objects; is exemplary of twenty-first-century silversmithing. A top-class jury selected the award winners and exhibitors.
