Bill Ellis graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill majoring in political science. After army service he received a Masters degree in Public Administration from American University in Washington, D.C. He has published two previous novels: Second Chances (2001), and Leading Voices (2004). Currently President of the Longmont Writers' Club, Bill has been awarded grants from the Longmont Council for the Arts as writer-in-residence at Sunset Middle School in Longmont, Colorado to coach eighth graders in the creation of an online magazine (see www.healthquestinstitute.com). Bill has taught writing for over 30 years and coached writers from age 13 to 94.
Bill and his wife, Joan-currently into her next quilt after publishing her own cookbook-have six children, three a piece. At last count there were 11 grandchildren, five dogs and five cats.
