He has won numerous awards including the Kennedy Center Honor, the French Commandeur des Arts et des Lettres, Sweden's Polar Music Prize, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and multiple Grammys. In 2008, Bob Dylan was awarded a Pulitzer Prize Special Citation for his "profound impact on popular music and American culture, marked by lyrical compositions of extraordinary poetic power."
