Lynn Doxon was born in the same little Colorado town as Ken Kesey, although the Keseys had flown the coop and moved to Oregon by the time Lynn came along. She grew up in an average 1950s family. Father a World War II vet turned schoolteacher, stay at home mom who bred chickens, one younger brother and one older. She started writing in second grade, although she made up stories from the time she learned to talk. Each of her books - fiction and nonfiction - relate to a different part of her life. The Greatest Generation Series is loosely based on her father's experience in World War II. The latest book in the series follows Gene Sinclair's adventures while island hopping through the Pacific, and Sarah Gale's time as a photo interpreter in England.Lynn lives amid a permaculture food forest in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her husband, the three youngest of their six children, her 98 year old mother, four cats, three dogs, two fish and one hermit crab.
