Speaking of technology, you have to love it when a great book not only comes with some wonderful quilt designs and a multitude of variations on each but also includes a CD that allows you to change the size of your quilt or design your own patterns or print your foundations from your computer. Carol Doak's designs are paper pieced and patterns are included for copying or you can print (and resize if you wish) from your computer using the CD. What I particularly like is that Carol includes a gallery of blocks used in the book. While the book gives you many ideas and variations for these blocks, Carol also encourages you to play with them using your own fabric choices and layouts, thereby creating a quilt that is your own.--The Canadian Quilter Magazine; Autumn 2013.
