Paul Dillon lives on the MorningtonPeninsula near Melbourne nearthe real Balbirooroo wetland. TheSymphony is his first book forchildren.Paul was born in Dorset inEngland in 1967 and has spent most of his lifecomposing and playing music around the world. His love of life and children led him to startstory after he moved to a little house next to TheBalbirooroo wetland in Balnarring in Victoria. Inthe evenings he would visit the wetland for a walkand listen to all the frogs singing their songs. Thestory was started with two small sketches of an oldfrog and a feral cat that sat in a bag for three years. When his mother Carmel reminded him of thedrawings on her visit to see Paul from England hestarted writing and just could not stop.Paul hopes to visit lots of other natural placesin the world and be inspired to write more storiesfor the characters that he has created.
His one wishis that children will really want to visit a wetlandnear them after reading this book.
