This book is written as a medley of Jewish stories about creation from several sources with the majority of the text taken from the book of Genesis in the Christian Bible, also known as (Bereshit), the First Book of Moses in the Torah. Although the majority of this text is taken from the King James Version of the Bible, it has been modernized and formatted in such a way as to read easily in story form. Other ancient text are threaded in and out of the Genesis story in order to provide a more in-depth understanding of what was believed by the ancient Jews as the beginning of this story of mankind. Many of these stories are still taught in Judaism, Islam and Christianity to this day.
