Excerpt from The Old Records of the Town of Fitchburg, Massachusetts: A Copy of a Portion of the Records Contained in Volume Vi;, Pages 1 to 278, Inclusive, Being Volume Six of the Printed Records of the Town The joint standing committee on education, to which was referred the petition No. 93 of the Fitchburg Historical Society, asking for a continuance of the publication of the old records of the town of Fitchburg during the current year, report that they recommend the adoption of the following order: Ordered, That the sum of nine hundred dollars ($900) be and the same is hereby appropriated for the purpose of continuing the work of copying and printing the old records of the town of Fitchburg during the current year, the above to be done under the direction of the city clerk; said sum to be charged to incidental account.
