Kalli Dakos is a former reading specialist, widely published children's author, and a frequent visitor to schools throughout the United States and Canada. Her children's poetry collection They Only See the Outside (Magination Press, 2021) was named to the 2022 NCTE Notable Books in Poetry list. Kalli lives in Ottawa, Canada, with her family and has an office in Ogdensburg, New York. Luciana Navarro Powell is a full-time children's illustrator who combines traditional and digital drawing and painting to inspire kids. Her belly button has celebrated too many birthdays to count! Happy Birthday, Belly Button! is her fourth book with Amicus Ink. Having grown up in Brazil, she now lives in beautiful Washington state with her husband and two sons.
