I sit quietly in the back of the church. People surround me on all sides, in their Sunday best. It's not Sunday, though, it's Christmas Eve. Snow drifts past the stained-glass windows under the soft candle-light as expressionless faces hum self-consciously. I close my eyes and rest my head against the back of the pew, staying like this for the rest of the service. A rustle spreads through the cavernous space as men and women, children in tow, stand to leave. Someone shakes my shoulder. I open my eyes to see the pastor standing over me.
Unfortunately for Gabriel, the peace doesn't last. Follow him on a journey to find the truth of his world.
