A year in the making, "She's the One" is tattoo artist Kate Collins's collection of punk rock inspired portraits, featuring line drawings and full color renderings of over 30 women - each piece deriving inspiration from a different punk song. Standout songs include The Ramones' "Sheena is a Punk Rocker," X-Ray Spex's "Oh Bondage, Up Yours!," and The Vibrators' "Baby, Baby." While traditionally, tattoo artists have illustrated women with a common, typecast beauty-meant to represent wives, lovers, or sirens of the silverscreen -Kate Collins felt like this needed an update. "What about a different type of beauty? The ones I grew up with, the women I admired." Her portraits embody stripped-down femininity, hard edges, and often rebellious styles.
