Tom Cole was the first quarterback in the history of St. John's Jesuit High School, located in Toledo, Ohio. He also played quarterback at Ohio Wesleyan University for four years. Cole coached high school and college football for 25 years as quarterback coach and offensive coordinator. He has also broadcast high school and college football on local television for the last 19 years on Buckeye Broadband, Buckeye Cable Sports Network (BCSN) and ESPN 3. Cole in 2016 was inducted into the City of Toledo Athletic Hall of Fame. He has been married to his wife Karen for 42 years, has two children Christy Cole Hemke and Clayton Cole and three grandchildren, Josie, Cole and Cooper Hemke.
