And her debut novel, Nothing but the Truth (and a few white lies), won the Asian-American Award for Literature. A passionate advocate of literacy, Justina co-founded readergirlz, a cutting-edge social media project for teens, which won the National Book Foundation's Prize for Innovations in Reading. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University with honors in Economics. She's called Sydney and Shanghai home, and currently lives in Seattle with her two kids. Even so, she feels at ease wherever she goes so long as she has her coconut black tea, journal, and pen.
