David L. Chambers, Ph.D. resides in Virginia, where he is currently a biology professor at Longwood University. He received his Bachelor of Science in biology in 2003 from his hometown university, Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In 2005, he received his Master of Science in biology from the same institution. That same year, he left Pennsylvania to work towards his Doctor of Philosophy in biology at Virginia Tech, which he earned in 2009. Chambers is passionate about his hometown of Indiana, Pennsylvania.
Those that know him best know that his heart is, and will always be, in Western Pennsylvania. An avid Pittsburgh sports fan, he would like to take this opportunity to point out that the Pittsburgh Penguins have won the Stanley Cup three times while the Washington Capitals have yet to taste victory.Chambers is equally passionate about his dogs, Cooper (a male Shih-Tzu) and Indiana (a female Siberian husky). When he is not teaching future generations of biologists or demanding perfection from his beloved Pittsburgh Penguins through his television set, Chambers manages the rock band - Parabelle, enjoys playing poker, video games, roller and ice hockey, and watching any superhero movie.
