Emily Carr was a Canadian artist and writer, inspired by the Ingenious people of the country. As a writer she was considered one of the earlier chroniclers of life in British Columbia. Her stories are mostly autobiographical and often describe her native friends. "The House of All Sorts" includes more than 60 short stories.
